If you ever plan an Eastern PEI beach day, Greenwich National Park is about an hour away, and Basin Head Provincial Park is about an hour and a half. PEI has world-class beaches. I would know...I lived in Hawaii for over 5 years.

Cavendish has many restaurants, beaches, and tourist attractions. It is a favorite for locals and tourists alike.
It is the largest tourist stop on the island and has two nice golf courses. It is a bustling town, whereas New Glasgow is quiet.

PEI runs ceilidhs all Summer. There is usually a nightly ceilidh in nearby Stanley Bridge. (That is just one of the many places on the island with ceilidhs).
Cavendish has two music festivals this year, both in July. Chris Stapleton is headlining the CBMF this year.
Charlottetown has lots of art galleries, and the Charlottetown Farmer's Ma
